The Dead Yogis Society · Episode XXIX: Ahimsa

The Dead Yogis Society is a bunch of people getting together for an experience. No filter, no agenda, no ego, no bull***t.

To celebrate life and death and the sweat between, an intense practice for the benefit of others. Since the beginning of The Dead Yogis Society eight years ago, and thanks to every yogi who participated, we’ve raised around £55,600 for some wonderful causes.

This time round we're celebrating Ahimsa.

The principle of Ahimsa is non-violence, meaning harmlessness in thought, word, and action toward all beings.

All beings.

And we practice this by cultivating compassion, patience, and mindful communication. Ahimsa is part of the Yamas (ethical restraints) and in this uncertain world of chaos and violence, we need to observe and implement that more than ever.
